CLASS FUNDS
Class funds are to be collected by the Room Reps at the beginning of the school year. Ask for $25 donations : While full parent participation in the Class Fund donation is the desired outcome, it is optional and no one should be pressured to give. Please convey to parents that their contribution is optional. You may send reminder emails and additional notes in the Thursday folders to maximize participation. Both the emails and notes should be sent to all parents in the class in order to prevent the singling-out of any particular parent(s).

As Room Rep you are responsible to track all money that is donated and spent.
Access the Budget Spreadsheet here. You may also use your own expense sheet if you prefer.
How to Use:
Room Rep Expense spreadsheet (click on the "spreadsheet" link). You will then be prompted to "Make a Copy". Click on that and it will bring you to a Google expense sheet that only You will have access to.
Here are the basics:
Beginning in row 4, you'll start adding your line items. You can start with your beginning balance, or line item your donations (up to you!)
In Column C, enter your beginning money/incoming donations as a positive value (for example, if someone donates $50, just enter "50")
In Column D, enter any expenses as a positive value (for example, if you spend $22.50, just enter "22.50")
Column E will automatically calculate your current balance-- you do not need to do anything in this column, it should do it for you.

Here are a couple of ways you can spend your leftover funds.
Buy popsicles at the end of the year
Buy books/games/playground equipment for the classroom
Buy t-shirts for the students autograph

Please do NOT use leftover funds to buy a gift card for the teacher at the end of the year.
