In September, Room Rep Welcome Packets are handed out typically via the Thursday folders. In these packets you should include the following:
Room Rep Introduction Letter with a return envelope (only needed if handing out hard copies)
Parent Questionnaire (now available online)

Room Rep Introduction Letter
The Room Rep Introduction Letter is the opportunity for you to introduce yourself as the Room Parent, share key information and request Class Fund donations to put towards the classroom parties and celebrations. This letter can be emailed or printed.
The Room Rep letter is a great way to introduce yourself to the other class parents and to let them know about your role as a Room Rep. In addition, the Room Rep letter lets the parents know that you will be collecting $25 donations for the class fund and their email addresses for communication purposes. Try and give parents a week to complete the forms and return them with their Class Fund donation.
Ask your teacher for a list of students in the class. That way you can keep track of those who have donated and you will have a list of students for future reference. When you feel you have collected all the donations from your class, start a budget for each of the events that you will be coordinating.

The classroom Parent Questionnaire use to be a handout that Room Reps would include in their Welcome Packets. New this year is a online version that will produce you a spreadsheet with all the information submitted by your classroom parents. This makes email address easier to read and transfer. Please make a copy before editing it and sending out to your classroom parents.

We will be using WhatsApp groups this year for communication with your fellow classroom parents.
Please encourage your classroom parents to join the WhatsApp group for their child's classroom.
